Senior RF Engineer

Senior RF Engineer | Holon Ready to take full ownership of RF development, from the first simulation to a certified mass-produced product? A technology company developing communication hardware for smart metering and IoT products is looking for an experienced Senior RF Engineer to join its R&D team. This hands-on role involves proprietary communication networks, LoRa, NB-IoT and Cat-M technologies. The role • Design, simulate and optimize RF systems, circuits and antennas for sub-GHz and cellular frequencies • Test, integrate and troubleshoot complex RF circuits • Work with external PCB layout designers to ensure optimal RF routing • Lead RF products from concept to mass production, including DFM and RF test fixtures and procedures • Lead FCC and CE compliance, from preparation and laboratory testing to final certification • Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware and System teams, vendors and subcontractors • Support field engineers and international partners in resolving complex technical issues • Guide engineering technicians, share knowledge and help steer the RF domain’s technical direction Required background • BSc in Electrical or Electronics Engineering • 10+ years of proven RF development experience • Proven RF design experience at relevant frequencies and proficiency with simulation tools • Hands-on experience with spectrum and network analyzers • Strong ultra-low-power RF design experience for battery-powered IoT and smart metering devices • Experience with RF SoCs, transceivers, cellular modules, matching networks, PAs, LNAs and filters • Experience taking RF products from concept to mass production, including DFM and RF testing • Previous experience leading FCC and CE compliance testing • High-level written and spoken English for technical documentation, international certification and field support Significant advantage • Experience in antenna design and characterization The position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, analytical and system-level thinking, independence, initiative, advanced problem-solving abilities and the ability to mentor technical staff.
